Start with the job you need a scanner to do. Reading an engine warning code, investigating an ABS warning and carrying out a workshop procedure are different requirements. A product name or a long feature list is not enough to establish that a tool supports your car and the exact function you need.
What the LAUNCH CR319 listing describes
The seller’s product documentation lists emission-related OBD2 code reading, live data, freeze-frame information and I/M readiness. It describes coverage for most OBD2/EOBD/CAN cars from 1996 onward. These are seller claims, not compatibility results from our testing. Do not assume coverage for ABS, airbags, service resets, coding or every vehicle from a model-year claim.
Five checks before you buy
- Vehicle: Ask the seller to confirm your exact make, model, year, engine and market.
- Function: Describe the specific system and task you need, rather than asking only whether the scanner “works.”
- Costs: Confirm the delivered price, included accessories, update terms and any recurring charges.
- Availability: Check current stock and dispatch timing. The listing reviewed showed a restocking notice; we cannot promise immediate delivery.
- Returns: Read the current conditions before ordering. The seller warns that customers may bear return postage for non-quality-related returns.
